CSIRT-CY Job Specialties


Maintains assured communications with global partners, develops and publishes information products, and manages CSIRT-CY’s web presence.

Digital Analytics

Assesses digital artifacts to determine the potential impact of cyber intrusions, exchanging artifacts with global partners 24 hours a day.

Incident Response

Performs on-site and remote incident response, advising stakeholders ranging from Sys admins to CIOs.

Network Analysis

Examines suspicious network activity, working in close partnership with global partners and other local agencies.

Security Program Management

Manages information security implications within the organization, or other area of responsibility, to include strategic, personnel, and security awareness.

Threat Analysis and Information Sharing

Conducts research and evaluates all-source information to develop in-depth assessments of threats to federal assets and critical infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports and performs her/his duties under the instructions of the Head of CSIRT.

  • Carries out all work on CSIRT operation / services, which will be assigned to her him by the head of CSIRT.

  • Manages / coordinates actions on security incidents and registers security incidents forwarded to CSIRT.

  • Investigates incidents filed by CSIRT related to risk and safety.

  • Supports the CSIRT user service teams in restoring infrastructure and services after catastrophic events.

  • Prepares reports on all incidents filed by CSIRT.

  • Prepares training material, information material and technical manuals.

  • Informs / trains CSIRT staff.

  • Has knowledge and complies with all CSIRT operating procedures.

  • Collects information on security incidents and electronic evidence.

  • Performs any other duties assigned to her him.

  • Work around a flexible schedule and when needed.


Academic-Professional Qualifications / Work Experience

  • First degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or other related fields.

  • Professional certification in areas related such as CCNA Security, COMPTIA Security +, SSCP, CEH, or equivalent, will be considered an advantage.

  • Experience in relevant fields (ICT) will be considered an advantage.

  • Postgraduate in the fields of Computer Engineering, IT, Electronic Engineering / Telecommunications or other related disciplines will be considered an advantage.

  • Very good knowledge of Greek and English language.

  • Good knowledge in programming languages, preferably Python, C/C++, JavaScript or PHP.
  • Good presentations skills.
